| In class this week Ms. Mulcahy's first class have been learning about the signs of Autumn and the different types of trees. All the children learnt about the different parts of the trees and we felt it would be fun to go on a nature walk and see what all these things looked like in real life! |

| We went to see the old oak tree, the horse chestnut tree, the sycamore tree and the ash tree on the avenue. We looked at the bark of each tree and took some bark rubbings. We also collected some leaves and some fruit from each tree. |

| When we got back to the classroom we used pastels, watercolours, paint and crayons to make some leaf rubbings using the leaves we collected. We have displayed what we collected on our nature table in our room! |
