Yellow Flag Developments!

The Yellow Flag Committee are organising an Intercultural Week after the June bank holiday. Each class will have to do projects on two countries. There will be different activities on during Intercultural Week. Each day every class will take part in something. We are looking for parents or relatives to help out during this week. If anyone is interested please contact the school; help is very much appreciated. The next step for the Yellow Flag is for the classes to think of a slogan or rap to represent the diversity in our school.

Bernard Dunne Visit

Bernard Dunne came to visit Ravenswell this morning and some of us Boxing fanatics were lucky enough to meet him in school. He answered lots of our questions and even got a group photo taken which should appear in the local paper this week.

AMAZING ARTWORK

First class have completed some amazing artwork over the last few weeks.
In Science we were learning all about light and shadows. We drew some lighthouses and coloured them and you can see them on display outside Ms. Keane's room. We also took the opportunity to go out in the sun last week and traced our own shadows. We pulled some cool poses and our friends drew our shadow using chalk.
In our Art lesson we learned about the Spanish artist Joan Miro and were inspired by his artwork. We based our artwork on his piece called: "People and dog in Sun".
