1st class have been learning about Length in Maths this week. We have learned how to estimate before measuring. Estimating means making a good guess. We used cubes and pencils to measure lots of things around the classroom.

Amazing Attendance!!!
The winter is cold and dark and getting out of bed in the morning can sometimes be really tough! But these boys and giris are showing us how it's done - they didn't miss a single day in December! Good work everybody, keep it up!

GAA Superstars!!!
Ms O'Brien's class started GAA this week and the future of Wicklow football looks bright! Everyone had great fun and we can't wait for our next session! Each week some boys and girls are chosen as 'players of the week' - here are this week's superstars...well done everyone!!!

Antarctica
We have loved learning lots about the Antarctica this month.
Here is a short video to show just some of the work we have been doing in school.
We have completed group projects on the Emperor Penguin, made clay penguins, played games pretending to be penguins carrying the egg and chick and also wrote some postcards home pretending to be in the Antarctica. Lots of fun in 1st class !
